This is a networking session for Safeguarding Link Governors. This session will cover Monitoring the Single Central Record for governors.
These sessions are essential for Safeguarding Link Governors only, who want to keep up to date with key changes in local and national issues impacting on the role of the Safeguarding Link Governor. The meetings include the sharing of effective practice in an open forum.
It is anticipated that Safeguarding Link Governors will be able to discuss, share and develop good and effective practice.
There is no cost to attend these sessions. Please note that these sessions are only open to named Safeguarding Link Governors. East Sussex Children’s Services and the East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP) has set an expectation that the named Safeguarding Link Governor attends, prior to or shortly after appointment, in-depth face to face training delivered by the East Sussex Governor and Clerking Service. This then needs to be updated every 3 years by attending the refresher training. Governors will need to meet this criteria or be booked on relevant training to attend the networking session. If you need to attend either the initial training or refresher training, you can book on a session through the East Sussex Learning Portal.
