Understanding LGBT+ Inclusion and Support in Your School Community
How governance can make a significant difference for the LGBT+ students in your school
By attending this workshop, you will get a brief LGBT+ training session , a personal story from an LGBT+ student, a School Governor’s perspective, a school staff perspective and an opportunity to examine your thinking on these issues.
You will also gain access to useful resources and a clear sense of the next steps you can take to improve LGBT+ inclusion and support in your school. As well as a better understanding of the need to meet the legal requirement to ensure LGBT+ inclusion in schools, and the Ofsted requirement for your school to be effective in tackling LGBT+ phobic bullying.
This session will be co-facilitated by staff from Allsorts Youth Project.
